quiet day on elliptical

Very boring morning on the elliptical with my Macleans magazine.
My exercise journal. Not very interesting for many of you, but it keeps me on track and makes me feel less guilty.

Strength Training
Last Friday, I went for my "bridges" run. Basically I run down to False Creek from my place, along the seawall to the Cambie Bridge, up the stairs and over the bridge, along the seawall to the Burrard Street bridge, up those stairs and over, and then run back home. All told, it's probably about 40 minutes of running. According to Route Scout, the route is about 8km.
Here I am, post-wedding! I went back to the gym today after about 2.5 weeks of very little exercise and lots of eating. After my last post, I think I did one run and a 30km bike ride, and we did a little hike at Christina Lake. Otherwise, the week after the wedding was occupied with incredibly long hours of sleeping to catch up after the week of preparation insanity. My body still succumbed this last Sunday morning, however, and I woke up with my nose and eyes streaming so I ended up taking a sick day off of work on Monday to recuperate.
Wednesday, August 2: 60 mins stairmill, level 7
After a shocking weekend of excess and general girls behaving badly shenanigans (three days sans exercise, unless you count dancing with 22 year old boys and wandering around Whistler Village exercise), Monday was a tough day. It was also lovely to sleep in after eight Mondays of 6:30am boot camp. I am at the gym every morning by 6:30 but the difference with boot camp was that I didn't have the option of not going. Anyway, my workouts today and yesterday:
